Alchohol Interaction Borox L Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Borox L Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Borox L Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Stomach upset, Dryness in mouth, Headache, Fatigue, Sleepiness, Allergic reaction.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Borox L Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Borox L Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Borox L Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Borox L Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Borox L Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Borox L Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Borox L Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Borox L Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
