Alchohol Interaction Taking aceclofenac with alcohol may increase risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy Interaction Axyclo Tablet SR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Axyclo Tablet SR during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Heartburn, Loss of appetite, Indigestion, Stomach pain, Diarrhoea.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
Driving Axyclo Tablet SR may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney Axyclo Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Axyclo Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Axyclo Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Axyclo Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Axyclo Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Axyclo Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is advisable while the patient is taking this medicine.
Mechanism of action Axyclo Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Serratiopeptidase. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain, fever and inflammation (redness and swelling). Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme which works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation, and promotes healing.
