Alchohol Interaction Astham 10mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Astham 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Astham 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice Take it in the evening for better control of asthma or allergies symptoms. Relatively safe medicine with very few side effects. Take Astham 2 hours before exercising if you have exercise-induced asthma. Will not work for sudden wheezing or asthma attacks once they start. Always carry a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you. Not as effective as steroid inhalers for asthma. Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Flu-like symptoms.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Astham 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Astham 10mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Astham 10mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Astham 10mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver Astham 10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Astham 10mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Astham 10mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
Mechanism of action Astham 10mg Tablet works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
