How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amgat 60 mg/400 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if it causes an upset stomach.Avoid Amgat 60 mg/400 mg Tablet with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.The most common side effects that can occur when taking Amgat 60 mg/400 mg Tablet are usually mild nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea, dizziness, and headache.This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Amgat 60 mg/400 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amgat 60 mg/400 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Take plenty of water while you are taking this medicine

Mechanism of action Amgat 60 mg/400 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ambroxol and Gatifloxacin which treat respiratory tract infection associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Addition of ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of gatifloxacin.
