Pregnancy Interaction Adacin Gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Adacin Gel is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Dry skin, Skin redness, Skin peeling, Itching, Burning sensation at the site of application.
How to Use Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Apply it on the affected area and allow it to stay before spitting or rinsing.
Driving Adacin Gel does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Adacin Gel is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Adacin Gel may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Adacin Gel in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Adacin Gel is a combination of two medicines: Adapalene Topical and Clindamycin Topical which treat pimples (acne). Adapalene Topical is a form of vitamin A which prevents accumulation of the sebum (skin’s natural oil), unblocks the pores and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin. Clindamycin Topical is an antibiotic which works by penetrating into the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria.
