Alchohol Interaction Acuvert 5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Lactation Interaction Acuvert 5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.Occasional short-term use of Acuvert 5mg Tablet for the treatment of nausea and vomiting poses little risk to the breastfed infant.
Expert Advice It should not be taken by patients who are allergic to prochlorperazine or any of the other ingredients of the tablet or syrup like sucrose. Consult your doctor before taking prochlorperazine If you are breast-feeding or pregnant. Do not drive or operate machines if you have just taken prochlorperazine as it may cause dizziness or tiredness. Do not get up from lying position immediately, as you may experience dizziness. Do not do strenuous exercise or go in sun or get exposed to extreme heat. Avoid taking alcohol. Do not handle the tablet any longer than required as it may cause irritation on the skin.
Common Side Effect Drowsiness, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acuvert 5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Acuvert 5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Acuvert 5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Acuvert 5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Acuvert 5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Acuvert 5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
