How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Actcef CL 200mg/125mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Actcef CL 200mg/125mg Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Kidney Actcef CL 200mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Actcef CL 200mg/125mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Actcef CL 200mg/125mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Actcef CL 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.
