Alchohol Interaction Urixate Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Urixate Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Urixate Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice It is better to take with food to avoid an upset stomach. Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma (a disease associated with increased eye pressure). It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Not recommended for infants and children below 12 years of age. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Chewing sugarless gum and drinking plenty of water may help.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Dryness in mouth, Headache, Drowsiness, Dizziness, Blurred vision, Nervousness.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Urixate Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.You may experience drowsiness, blurred vision or vertigo whilst taking Urixate Tablet. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Urixate Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Urixate Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Urixate Tablet is anti-spasmodic. It works by relaxing muscles of the urinary bladder and prevents frequent, urgent or uncontrolled urination, and relieves associated pain.
