Lactation Interaction Tricef XL Tablet is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Dyspepsia, Flatulence, Rash.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tricef XL Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.Take it 1 hour before or 2 hour after taking food.
Driving It is not known whether Tricef XL Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Tricef XL Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tricef XL Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Tricef XL Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tricef XL Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Tricef XL Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Cefixime, Dicloxacillin and Lactobacillus. Cefixime and Dicloxacillin are antibiotics which work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Lactobacillus is a live micro-organism which restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.
