Alchohol Interaction Taking Silodosin with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience a headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy Interaction Sildoo 8mg Capsule is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Sildoo 8mg Capsule during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Expert Advice Sildoo helps in relieving the symptoms of enlarged prostate. It doesn't decrease the size of the prostate. Sildoo must be taken with food. You will feel better within hours or days of starting treatment. Full effect is usually seen within 2 weeks. Sildoo may cause you to feel dizzy, faint, lightheaded, or weak, especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension). Take special precaution if you have to drive, use machines or do any activity that needs alertness. If your undergoing eye surgery due to cataract or glaucoma, inform your eye doctor about the usage of Sildoo. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sildoo 8mg Capsule is to be taken with food.Avoid Sildoo 8mg Capsule with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.
Driving Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Sildoo 8mg Capsule. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.
Kidney Sildoo 8mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sildoo 8mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Sildoo 8mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Sildoo 8mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sildoo 8mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Sildoo 8mg Capsule in these patients.
Mechanism of action Sildoo 8mg Capsule is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily.
