Pregnancy Interaction Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice You have been prescribed Saaz to control the symptoms and slow down the progression of inflammatory bowel disease or rheumatoid arthritis. You may have to wait for 6 to 12 weeks to get the full effect. Drink plenty of water while on Saaz. This will prevent kidney stone and kidney damage. You may experience loss of appetite and nausea on starting Saaz. Your urine may change color (to orange). Do not worry if that happens. Avoid contact with people who have cold, flu or other contagious illness. Notify your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as a fever or sore throat. Inform your doctor if you ever had any form of drug allergy. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any blood disease e.g. G6PD deficiency.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Headache, Skin rash, Loss of appetite, Increased body temperature.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR is to be taken with food.
Driving Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of kidney function tests is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Liver Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Saaz - DS 1000mg Tablet DR blocks the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation, swelling and redness associated with certain autoimmune diseases. nIt suppresses the underlying disease process, rather than simply treating the disease.
