| Expert Advice | Take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Do not lie down after taking the medicine. Wait at least 1 hour before taking any other medication or eating or drinking anything. Take calcium and vitamin D to help build your bones when taking Risofos. Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Risofos. Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw. This problem may be seen after dental work. Your doctor will monitor your response to Risofos by testing your bone mineral density (BMD). This is usually done every 1-3 years. |

| Kidney | Risofos 35mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Risofos 35mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease. However, use of Risofos 35mg Tablet is not advised in severe kidney disease patients. |
| Liver | Risofos 35mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Risofos 35mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. |
| Mechanism of action | Risofos 35mg Tablet is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures. |
