| Lactation Interaction | Esomeza-DSR Capsule is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby. |
| Common Side Effect | Diarrhoea, Flatulence, Stomach pain, Dryness in mouth, Headache. |
| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Esomeza-DSR Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.Take it preferably 30 minutes before food. |
| Driving | Esomeza-DSR Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. |
| Kidney | Esomeza-DSR Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Esomepraz DSR Capsulemay be needed. Please consult your doctor. |
| Liver | Esomeza-DSR Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Esomepraz DSR Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Esomepraz DSR Capsule is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease. |
| Mechanism of action | Esomeza-DSR Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Esomeprazole which relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract and helps food move more easily through the stomach. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn. |
