Alchohol Interaction Migrid 5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Migrid 5mg Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Expert Advice Migrid should be taken at night-time before going to bed. You may have to wait for 8 to 12 weeks to get the full effect. Caution is advised in elderly patients, as it may cause depressive and extrapyramidal symptoms. Do not take alcohol or sleep inducing medicine along with Migrid. Migrid tablet contains lactose monohydrate. You should not take it if you have galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Common Side Effect Sleepiness, Weight gain, Muscle pain, Fatigue, Constipation, Nausea, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Rhinitis.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Migrid 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Migrid 5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Migrid 5mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Migrid 5mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Migrid 5mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Migrid 5mg Tablet works by preventing loss of tone and dilation of blood vessels, thus preventing the migraine headache.
