Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of appetite, Diarrhoea, Headache, Dizziness, Bleeding under the skin.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Donamem 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Donamem 5 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Donamem 5 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Donamem 5 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Donamem 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Donamem 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Donamem 5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Donepezil and Memantine which treat Alzheimer’s disease. Donepezil is a cholinesterase inhibitor while Memantine is an NMDA inhibitor. Together, they balance the levels of chemical messengers in the brain and help in the transmission of nerve signals.
