Pregnancy Interaction Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. \nBreast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Common Side Effect Increased heart rate, Restlessness.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
Driving Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, the use of Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Mechanism of action Pantac 30 mg/500 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Paracetamol and Caffeine which relieves headache.tnParacetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that causes fever and pain. Caffeine narrows the blood vessels in the brain to reduce the headache. It also increases the effectiveness of Paracetamol.
