Pregnancy Interaction Castor NF Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Castor NF Cream is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Castor NF Cream via licking.
Common Side Effect Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness), Skin thinning, Skin peeling.
How to Use This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Driving It is not known whether Castor NF Cream alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Mechanism of action Castor NF Cream is a combination of four medicines: Clobetasol Topical, Ofloxacin Topical, Ornidazole Topical and Terbinafine Topical which treat skin infections. Clobetasol Topical is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Ofloxacin Topical is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ornidazole Topical is also an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Terbinafine Topical is an antifungal. It stops the growth of fungus by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.
