Lactation Interaction Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Headache, Tiredness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Nausea, Diarrhoea, Dryness in mouth, Fever, Rash, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand).
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT is to be taken empty stomach.Take it preferably 1 hour before food.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.You may experience fatigue while taking Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT and this may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT. You may need to stop taking this medicine.
Mechanism of action Virolans 100 mg/30 mg/200 mg Tablet DT is a combination of three antiviral medicines: Lamivudine, Stavudine and Nevirapine. They work by preventing HIV (virus) from multiplying, thereby reducing the amount of virus in your body. They also increase the CD4 cell (white blood cells that protect against infection) count in your blood.
