Alchohol Interaction L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Stomach upset, Dryness in mouth, Headache, Fatigue, Sleepiness, Allergic reaction.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action L-Cet A 5mg/75mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
