How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cofvyn Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving It is not known whether Cofvyn Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Cofvyn Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cofvyn Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Cofvyn Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Cofvyn Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cofvyn Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Cofvyn Tablet in patients with liver disease.
Mechanism of action Cofvyn Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pseudoephedrine and bromhexine which relieve cold symptoms. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
