How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Laz AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving It is not known whether Laz AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Laz AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Laz AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Mechanism of action Laz AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Azithromycin and Ambroxol which treat respiratory tract infection associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Azithromycin.
