| Pregnancy Interaction | Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. |
| Lactation Interaction | Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby. |
| Common Side Effect | Nausea, Fatigue, Headache, Dizziness, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Altered blood lipids, Shortness of breath, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation), Decreased magnesium level in blood, Increased calcium level in blood. |
| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet is to be taken with food. |
| Driving | Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. |
| Kidney | Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet is not recommended in these patients. |
| Liver | Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. |
| Mechanism of action | Nodon CH 12.5 Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Nebivolol and Chlorthalidone. tNebivolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. |
