Pregnancy Interaction Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Expert Advice You have been prescribed Moxovas to control high blood pressure. Decreasing high blood pressure lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke. Your doctor may adjust the dose and frequency (morning or evening) based on your response to Moxovas in the beginning of the treatment. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. May cause dizziness and lightheadedness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery.
Common Side Effect Dryness in mouth, Headache, Rash, Dizziness, Back pain, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Sleepiness, Vomiting, Weakness, Nausea, Dyspepsia, Diarrhoea, Vertigo.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.
Mechanism of action Moxovas 0.2mg Tablet is an anti-hypertensive medication. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.
