Alchohol Interaction Metrocline Capsule may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy Interaction Metrocline Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Metrocline Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Use of Metrocline Capsule is not harmful in short-term because milk levels are low. Prolonged or repeated use may cause staining of babies dental enamel or bone deposition of Metrocline Capsule.
Common Side Effect Vomiting, Headache, Dizziness, Tiredness, Metallic taste, Stomach pain, Nausea, Dryness in mouth, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Photosensitivity.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Metrocline Capsule is to be taken with food.Avoid Metrocline Capsule with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Metrocline Capsule may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.
Kidney Metrocline Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Metrocline Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Metrocline Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Metrocline Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Metrocline Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Metrocline Capsule is a combination of two antibiotics: Metronidazole and Tetracycline. Metronidazole kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Tetracycline stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
