Pregnancy Interaction Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.If you are taking Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet, monitor the baby for diarrhea.
Expert Advice Do not take the medicine if you are allergic to mesalazine, to any other content in the medicine, aspirin and other salicylate drugs. Do not take mesalazine if you have severe kidney or liver problems, blood disorders or uncontrolled bleeding. Do not take mesalazine if you have stomach or bowel ulcers or a history of bleeding ulcers, glucose-galactose mala absorption, Lapp-lactase deficiency or galactose intolerance. Doctor’s advice should be considered in case of patients with liver, kidney or lung disease (asthma). Avoid taking mesalazine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Mesahenz 1200mg Tablet blocks the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation of the lining of the intestines.
