Alchohol Interaction Taking Meloxicam+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy Interaction Melodol Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Melodol Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Indigestion, Stomach pain, Diarrhoea.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Melodol Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving It is not known whether Melodol Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Melodol Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Melodol Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, Melodol Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver Melodol Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Melodol Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, the use of Melodol Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Mechanism of action Melodol Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Meloxicam and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen which relieve pain. They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
