| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lyfokast 10mg/120mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. |
| Driving | Lyfokast 10mg/120mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. |
| Kidney | Lyfokast 10mg/120mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lyfokast 10mg/120mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease. |
| Liver | Lyfokast 10mg/120mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Lyfokast 10mg/120mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. |
| Mechanism of action | Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action another chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. |
