Lactation Interaction Hicef 200mg Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. \nBreast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Expert Advice Your doctor has prescribed Hicef to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Discontinue Hicef and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. If you're on blood thinners, Hicef can interact with your medications and increase your bleeding tendencies.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hicef 200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Hicef 200mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Hicef 200mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Hicef 200mg Tablet is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver Hicef 200mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hicef 200mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Dose adjustment of Hicef 200mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
Mechanism of action Hicef 200mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body.
