Alchohol Interaction Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy Interaction Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Altered taste, Stomach pain, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Cough, Dizziness, Headache, Weakness, Decreased blood pressure, Increased uric acid level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Electrolyte imbalance, Increased blood lipid level.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function test, and potassium levels is recommended while you are taking this medicine.
Liver Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Envas H 10mg/25mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide which lower blood pressure effectively. Enalapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by reducing stress on the heart and relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
