Expert Advice Take with food to avoid an upset stomach. Dose is decreased or tapered over time. Most side effects occur with high doses and on long-term use. Your risk of getting an infection may become higher. Tell your doctor immediately if you have a fever, flu-like symptoms, cough, painful urination, or a wound that does not heal.
Common Side Effect Electrolyte imbalance, Redistribution/accumulation of body fat, Bone degradation, Increased risk of infection, Muscle disorders, Increased blood pressure, Altered bone growth, Skin scar, Behavioural changes, Increased glucose level in blood, Cataract.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dexomet Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Dexomet Tablet may cause dizziness (vertigo). Changes in your eyesight or muscle weakness may also happen. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney Dexomet Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Dexomet Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of kidney function tests and other blood tests is advisable while you are taking Dexomet Tablet.
Liver Dexomet Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dexomet Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
