Alchohol Interaction Taking aceclofenac with alcohol may increase risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy Interaction Cyclofit D Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Cyclofit D Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Loss of appetite, Dryness in mouth, Dizziness, Feeling thirsty, Heartburn.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cyclofit D Tablet is to be taken with food.This will help to avoid stomach upset.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.As Cyclofit D Tablet may cause vertigo.
Kidney Cyclofit D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cyclofit D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Cyclofit D Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Cyclofit D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cyclofit D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Cyclofit D Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is advisable while the patient is taking this medicine.
Mechanism of action Cyclofit D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Drotaverine and Aceclofenac which relieve abdominal pain. Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medicine which relieves spasms associated with smooth muscles. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
