Lactation Interaction COBAMET TABLET is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Expert Advice Do not take methylcobalmin if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to methylcobalamin, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.Tell your doctor if your occupation required you to handle mercury or its compound.Do not use methylcobalamin over a period of months, if there is a lack of satisfactory clinical response.
Common Side Effect Gastrointestinal disturbance, Allergic skin rash.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. COBAMET TABLET may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving COBAMET TABLET does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of COBAMET TABLET in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of COBAMET TABLET in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action COBAMET TABLET works by protecting nerve cells and encourages their normal growth. It also helps make new red blood cells and lowers homocysteine, a protein which in excess can cause inflammation (swelling) of blood vessels, including those that feed the brain.
