| Pregnancy Interaction | Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. |
| Lactation Interaction | Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. |

| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.Take this medicine before food. |
| Driving | Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet may cause visual disturbances, hallucinations, fatigue, mental confusion, dizziness or tiredness. This may affect your driving ability. |
| Kidney | Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. |

| Mechanism of action | Ciplar H 40 mg/25 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Propranolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. Propranolol is a beta blocker. It works by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. |
