| Pregnancy Interaction | CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. |
| Lactation Interaction | CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. |
| Expert Advice | Headache (‘nitrate headache’) may occur but should go away after a few days of continued treatment. You may develop tolerance to Cardicap with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this. Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fibre, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, limit alcohol intake, increase your physical activity, watch your weight, and reduce stress. Notify your doctor about other medicines (eg. sildenafil, tadalafil or vardenafil) that you are taking as Cardicap may interact with them and cause a serious fall in blood pressure. This may lead to collapse, unconsciousness and could be fatal. |

| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR is to be taken empty stomach. |

| Kidney | CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease. |
| Liver | CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of CARDICAP 40MG CAPSULE TR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. |
