Alchohol Interaction Amicline Plus Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy Interaction Amicline Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Amicline Plus Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Loss of appetite, Flatulence, Dizziness, Headache.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amicline Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Amicline Plus Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Amicline Plus Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Amicline Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amicline Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Amicline Plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ornidazole and Diloxanide. Ornidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Diloxanide is an amoebicide. It works inside the large intestine to kill the infection causing amoeba (parasites). Together, they treat your infection effectively.
